It was once one of the grand icons of Sussex. Now, following the devastating fire, it literally is a shell of its former self. This was taken whilst standing on Brighton Pier.

Lost for inspiration today, so this is an ‘on the run’ shot just before I entered the tunnel. Didn’t come out too bad considering it was shot from inside a car moving at 70mph!

Location Unsure, Brighton.

I went wandering for miles, and I’m not entirely certain where I ended up actually, so I can’t be specific on the location of this! I believe however, it’s a TV transmitter. Anyone feel free to correct me or give a better location if you recognise it.

Bodiam, Near Robertsbridge.

I’m not able to do a ‘live’ shot today due to commitments, so this is from my “favourites” file of previous Sussex photographs I’ve taken over the years. A shame that I couldn’t fit the whole castle in with the lens I had available to me when I took the shot some time ago on an aging Nokia N70, but I think quite nice nonetheless.

The castle is owned by the National Trust, and is a good day out with lots of other excellent heritage examples within 30 minutes driving distance. Further information on Bodiam Castle can be found on the National Trust website.

A27, Shoreham

A large arch bridge that spans some 100 feet over the main trunk road through Sussex. Stuck in a traffic jam today immediately underneath it, I was in the position to attempt to take some nice photos of it, albeit the sun was against me for potential angles.
